The Icomera X6 Mobile Applications Router is an industrial-class communications and applications hub designed for demanding transport solutions. The Icomera X6 sets a new level of performance and quality for onboard router and applications platforms. The X6 meets strict EMC, shock & vibration and environmental requirements for rolling stock (EN50155) as well as E Mark (2007/46/EC) for road-based passenger vehicles. The chassis is made of highly rugged custom moulded aluminium with industry standard connectors, including the all-new Gbps M12 Ethernet connectors.

Whether for Internet services on passenger transport or secure VPN connectivity for public safety vehicles, the X6 works wherever there is cellular data coverage and supports plug-and-play operation with WAN technologies including WiMAX 4G, 3G UMTS/HSPA, EDGE, GPRS, TD-CDMA, HC-SDMA, FLASH-OFDM and mobile WiMAX 802.16e1. Each modem supports dual SIMs. The backhaul-agnostic X6 supports up to 6 WAN radios PCIe form factor. These radios operate in tandem providing aggregated backhaul connections for load balancing, and seamless switching between different carriers. The modular WAN approach provides an in-field upgrade path to future WAN technologies such as LTE without the need to change the core hardware.

Vehicle Location & Fleet Management

With the Icomera X6 you are in control. The system features a highly sensitive GPS receiver, providing you with a reliable view of your fleet even when travelling in urban areas. The system is manageable using standard protocols. Our web based fleet management interface provides real-time location and route history.

Utilizing the communication system software, it is also possible to remotely monitor other equipment, such as electronic point of sale (ePOS), telematics including engine fault status, RPM, speed, HVAC systems, and CCTV video.

Open Platform

The Icomera X6 is an extensible and open platform on which you can add applications by using standard virtualisation technologies. The Icomera X6 also protects your investement by providing clear and concise APIs based on standard protocols and technologies.
